Yesterday I've decided to add pop-up ads to epochbox. Well, not anymore. I realised that popup piss people off, including myself (and that's just one of the reasons).

In the future, I might come out with paid membership which offer extra features to premium members.

Well, seriously we need some funds to pay for the monthly bandwidth and hosting fees. I understand the fact that it is almost impossible to get donation for epochbox, so I am going to add pop-up ads to all registration after member #199.

I will NOT add pop-ups ads to the old members because I had promised to them during registration that there will be no pop-up ads.

Looks like that's the only way for now.

We will be moving to a new server. Did you realise that EpochBox is getting slower and slower lately? This is a real proof of HostMonster hosting "performance". If you are looking for fast server, stay away from overselling host.

I am kinda frustated with the download speed of 0.04 KB per second, I guess I can't move to new server today. I already spent 1 hour to export the database and I have not got anything YET!

I am leaving to Singapore tomorrow and will be back after 2 days. I will start the work by then.

A new feature called Sound Alert has been added to Epoch Chatbox. To enable it, please go to
Control Panel > General Settings
Next, choose your desired sound under 'Sound Alert'.

A sound will be automatically played once new message(s) is found after an auto or manual refresh. Thank you.

Some changes has been made to speed up the loading time of the chatbox. If it is still slow, it must be the server's problem.

Also, posting chat message in Internet Explorer seems to be slower than other browsers. For better surfing experience, please use Firefox or Opera instead.
